Friday Vibes

We’ve reached Friday, my friends. A magical time. Friday’s are casual at my office, but I always like to try to look like I’m still professional. I probably should stop posting bathroom selfies, but when I feel cute, I have to share and my mirror at home is crap.

Anyway, I have talked about the fact that I was taking the month of February to get my spending under control. I vowed to not purchase anything that was unnecessary. I fell like I’ve done a pretty good job. I have only really purchased food, toiletries, and gifts for friends who had birthdays. It’s been killer. I haven’t bought anything for myself that wasn’t necessary since a few days before I started this blog.

Since clothing shopping is my main shopping addiction, I decided to start a Shop your Wardrobe Challenge that I found on Eden Ashley’s blog, Mint Notion. It’s really helped me to be more creative with my outfits I’m enjoying the challenge, more than I thought I would. There is a different prompt every day, and sometimes they just don’t work for me. But today my outfit challenge was “Wear something that makes you feel confident”. So I threw on my favorite jeans, favorite tall boots, and my favorite vest with a cute top. I feel like myself. I feel happy. I feel like I could take on the world. Hence the bathroom selfie.

Today was crazy. Our internet crashed at work today, which made for a weird afternoon. But I rocked today with a confident edge because I felt good about myself. I did something totally out of my normal work routine today. I at lunch in our cafeteria with a group of my colleagues. It was great. I managed to make it through my whole week without too much anxiety as well. So I’m calling this week a win.

There was this pretty horrible Hogwarts teacher who taught me that I must not tell lies. So, I have to be honest – I totally changed into a hoodie and capri leggings when I got home from work and that is probably how I will remain dressed for the entirety of the weekend. I am spending a lazy Friday night with my kiddos and that is just the way I like it.

Enjoy your weekend. Momzilla out.
