True Fact: I’m more like a llama than a unicorn.
I’ve had the journal I’m now using as my Self Care Journal for a couple months. Only yesterday did I decide to put it to good use. And now I can’t stop laughing at my own blog post title. I’ve lost it guys.
Okay, let’s get to the nitty gritty. I started this self care journey months ago if I’m being honest. But kept losing my way. I’ve even been reading “You Are A Badass”, by Jen Sincero. (I’m honestly still not quite done with it.) Then on Friday I had a total meltdown for the 3rd time in 5 weeks. I knew it was time for a change.
My boss, the amazing person that she is, reached out and asked me if I was okay and what I needed to get to a place where I would be okay. Did I need some time off? Did I need to talk? The answer is really that I’m not taking care of my own needs. So I’m doing something about it.
This is going to be a process. I know I posted them yesterday, but these are the steps I’m going to take:
