Good morning! I’m gonna just go ahead and lay this all out for you: I am not a self-help book kind of woman. I only started reading this because I was in a funk. But I have ZERO regrets.
I’ve also been trying to finish this book for months. It’s been hard. Mostly, because like I said I am not the self-help book kind of woman. However, once I finally fully read the book I was able to appreciate it’s content and not think of it so much as self-help, but more like a guidebook for getting out of my own way.
It was an excellent read. It had some sage advice, and some roll my eyes moments. But overall, I am glad I took the time to read it.
I took the following things away from this book:
- I need simply love myself no matter what.
- I am a good person.
- We all have our faults. Focusing on them is NOT helpful.
- I am simply me and I shouldn’t care what anyone thinks.
- Stop being afraid.
- It’s never too late.
- In the words of Queen Elsa: Let it go.
- Nothing is impossible.
- I am standing in my own way
- I am a Badass.
There is not much else to say here. If I say more I’ll give away all of the wisdom you will get from this valuable reading experience. So, there you have it folks. I’m moving onto my next book adventure.
